Nexus launches Shanghai subsidiary to help global auto manufacturers secure a share of the world’s fastest growing marketplace

1st August  Nexus announced the launch of its new Shanghai subsidiary. The company has pioneered the role of providing full management programmes to promote fleet and commercial business sales in emerging markets. The company will be headed by Gary West.

“Compared with the rest of the world, the global financial crisis has had very little impact on China's economy, and the effects of the urbanization process are remarkable,” Gary explains.

“This is good news for China's automotive industry and for non-Chinese manufacturers wishing to enter the market. China's car sales passed the 10 million mark for the first time in 2009 and sales in the first quarter of 2010 rose by 72% compared with the same period last year.

"We are already working with one of the world’s biggest auto manufacturers entering the market in China and we are serious about building our presence and capability in what is about to become the world's largest automotive marketplace.”
